Vera Mattens

Vera her career took off with a real "take-off" at the Sheraton Brussels Airport Hotel. She started as the voice on the other end of the line as a switchboard operator, then became the smile at the front desk as a receptionist. Eventually, she landed her career in accounting – a soft landing after a lot of turbulence.

After 10 years, Vera decided it was time to leave the gate and set her sights on a new destination: Receptel. This journey led her to IQVIA, where after two years, Vera was finally "booked" for a permanent flight. As an administrative assistant, she kept the sales, consulting, and marketing teams airborne by handling various administrative tasks and preparing invoices. Or, as they liked to say: Vera was the behind-the-scenes co-pilot.

In her free time, Vera likes to trade the keyboard for her racing bike. Together with her husband, she pedals hard on Sunday mornings with a cycling club – chasing hills, rustic landscapes, and especially excuses to enjoy a drink afterwards. During the week or in bad weather, you'll find her on the indoor trainer, making sure her fitness stays intact. The rest of her time, Vera likes to spend enjoying quality family moments with her daughter or fun outings with friends. A bite, a drink, and plenty of laughter are her fuel outside of work. And when she wants to relax, Vera retreats into a creative bubble with Diamond Paintings. Piece by piece, she clears her head until her artwork sparkles. Zen? Absolutely!
