At Agristo, element61 built a modern data platform for OT & Machine Learning development; mainly focused on industry 4.0 and their production and manufacturing processes & data. The platform was build using Azure cloud services & Databricks. In this project, we captured the operational technology (OT) data from various sensors and machines (through middleware), ingested it into a scalable data lake, structured it with metadata and quality checks, and leveraged it for machine learning use-cases. Some of the use-cases included predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, yield optimization, and quality control. We used Azure IoT Hub, Data Factory, Databricks, Grafana and MLFlow in Databricks to design and implement the data platform, which enabled Agristo to gain real-time insights and actionable recommendations from their OT data.
