The aim of this project was to design and implement a modern data platform for Etex, a global building materials company. The platform consists of three main components: a data lake, a data warehouse layer, and the enablement towards self-service with Power BI. The focus of element61 was kickstarting the data lake platform as part of the envisioned SAP BW migration to Azure & Power BI. element61 helped set-up the platform and build the end-to-end first reporting streams incl. Finance reporting & procurement reporting. The platform enables Etex to gain more insights from their data, improve their operational efficiency, and support their digital transformation initiatives.
