Alexis Vendrix

Alexis obtained a Bachelor in Civil Engineering and a Master in Actuarial Sciences from the Université Catholique de Louvain. Over the years, he built a career working with data in the financial sector, holding various analytical and engineering roles in major institutions. Driven by a desire to deep dive into advanced analytics and continuously expand his knowledge, Alexis pursued a Master in Data Sciences at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona in 2026.

As a self-proclaimed data geek, Alexis is passionate about turning numbers into insights. Always curious and eager to learn, he loves solving problems creatively and with modern solutions. Throughout his career, he has developed a diverse technical skill set, including Python, R, SAS, Docker, AWS, SQL, and cloud computing. He has a strong focus on data science and AI, and he particularly enjoys creating clear, impactful visualizations or applications to communicate complex findings to all types of audiences.

Outside of his professional life, Alexis strongly believes that the mind and body should be balanced. He pushes his physical limits by actively practicing multiple endurance and functional sports, including running, biking, CrossFit, and Hyrox. Additionally, he has an interest in graphic art and spent many years as a professional photographer.
