Analytics Architect
Marcin obtained a Master in Experimental Psychology and subsequently specialised further with a Master in Statistical Data Analysis (Computational Statistics) at Ghent University. His interest in data and modelling arose during his first thesis, in which he investigated a computational model that attempts to explain human choice behavior between exploration and exploitation.
He decided to continue his studies, building a strong theoretical foundation in statistics and gaining experience with programming languages such as R, Python and SAS. In his master's thesis, he investigated how to best deal with missing values when generating synthetic data and how these choices influence the usability of synthetic data.
Marcin was also active in Everest Analytics, an initiative in which students collaborate on data science projects for various organisations. This gives students the opportunity to gain practical experience under the supervision of professionals from the sector.
In his spare time, Marcin likes to combine creativity with technology. For example, he developed an app from a small idea that helps with making choices at a restaurant. He also enjoys running, swimming and travelling. He also likes to meet up with friends he met in the KSA, where he was active as a leader for five years.
Marcin joined element61 in September 2025.
