Data Scientist
Julie obtained a Master in Business Engineering specialising in Data Analytics at UGent, where she discovered a passion for extracting value from data. As part of her studies, she had the chance to go on an exchange to Seoul (South Korea), broadening her academic and personal horizons.
Her initial exposure to AI techniques during her Master sparked a curiosity that led her to pursue an advanced Master program in Artificial Intelligence at KU Leuven.
To gain practical experience, Julie interned at Radix, an AI solutions provider. There, she worked on exploring uncertainty in a transformer-based classification system for one of their clients. She collaborated closely with machine learning engineers and gained hands-on experience with Tensorflow and PyTorch.
Julie joined element61 in July 2024.
